Jubilee Performing Arts Policies
2025 - 2026
A student registration form must be completed before the student will be permitted to join a class. A new registration/liability sheet must be filled out for each new year for each student.
Jubilee’s curriculum is designed as a full-year learning program with two consecutive sessions: Fall and Spring. We do offer separate summer classes and camps. Students are encouraged to stay in the same class each session based upon placement.
Student Withdrawal Policy
If a student needs to withdraw from classes at Jubilee, we ask that families provide written notice at least 30 days in advance by email to the program office.
Because Jubilee plans staffing, class sizes, and budgets based on enrollment, tuition is non-refundable once a term has begun. Families are responsible for tuition through the 30-day notice period regardless of attendance.

If a student withdraws mid-year, the following applies:
• Written notice must be submitted by a parent or guardian.
• Tuition payments scheduled during the 30-day notice period will still be processed.
• Registration fees and previously paid tuition are non-refundable.
• If a student withdraws due to extended illness, injury, or relocation, families may contact the office to discuss possible accommodations.

Jubilee strives to keep class sizes consistent and to fairly compensate our instructors, and we appreciate your understanding of these policies.
Tuition Payment:
We offer three different payment options: monthly (10 equal payments throughout the year or prorated if beginning after the year commences), by term (fall & spring) and payment in full. Most payments are made via online invoice. If writing a check, please make checks payable to Jubilee Performing Arts. Unless a class is canceled due to inadequate enrollment, refunds will not be made.

Monthly payments are due by the 10th of the month. If monthly tuition is not paid by the 15th of the month, a $15 late charge will be added to the monthly tuition cost. Students will not be able to participate in class if their accounts are more than 30 days delinquent. Any returned checks will incur a $25 fee.
Additional Fees:
An annual registration fee as well as recital fees, and other fees such as costumes, etc. are not included in tuition. Certain classes are subject to additional fees.
Scholarships:
Limited scholarship applications are available. Please contact us if payment is a concern.

Trial classes:
Students are welcome to participate in a free trial class if available. Please contact us about setting up a trial class.

Inclement Weather Policy
Because Jubilee families travel from many areas across Northern Virginia, we do not follow local school system closureswhen making weather-related decisions. Weather and road conditions can vary widely across the region, so Jubilee will make an independent decision regarding class cancellations based on the safety of our instructors, staff, and families.

If classes must be cancelled due to inclement weather, families will be notified through email and/or social media.

Whenever possible, cancellation notices will be sent at least two hours before the start of classes.
If Jubilee remains open but weather conditions are unsafe in your area, families may use their own discretion regarding travel. Weather-related cancellations may be made up at the discretion of Jubilee and instructor availability.

Refunds or credits are not issued for missed classes due to weather closures or student absences. We will try our best to provide make-up classes.

Student Conduct & Safety
Jubilee is committed to providing a safe, positive, and enriching environment for all students. We expect students to treat instructors, staff, and peers with respect, kindness, and consideration at all times.
Bullying or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. If an incident occurs, the instructor will notify parents or guardians. Continued inappropriate behavior may result in dismissal from the program.
Students are expected to follow classroom guidelines and instructions, respect property, and act responsibly while participating in Jubilee programs. By maintaining a safe and supportive environment, we ensure every student can learn and grow with confidence.

Parent Responsibility & Communication
Parents and guardians play a vital role in supporting a positive learning environment at Jubilee. We ask that families:
-
Communicate promptly with instructors regarding attendance, schedule changes, or student needs.
-
Reinforce classroom expectations and respectful behavior at home.
-
Respect instructors’ guidance and refrain from disruptive behavior during classes or performances.
-
Keep contact information up to date so Jubilee can reach you with important notifications.
Open and respectful communication between parents, students, and instructors helps ensure every child has a safe, enjoyable, and enriching experience at Jubilee.
Promptness:
It is very important to arrive on time for class. Repetitive tardiness and/or absences may result in probation from performances. Arrive dressed and prepared for the class 5 minutes before your class starts. Be prompt with pick-up at class dismissal.
Parent Observation:
No parents are permitted inside the studio except during Parent Observation and Recital Days. This allows the students to recognize and adjust to classroom etiquette with limited distraction. Parents are welcome to sit in the Fellowship Hall if available.

Volunteer Agreement:
Jubilee Performing Arts depends on our amazing volunteers for the smooth running of shows. Theatre is a team effort with many moving parts both on and behind the stage. It is expected that every Jubilee family volunteer during one of our productions for the allotted amount of time during the 2025 - 2026 season. There will be a large number of volunteer offerings to match different gifting & abilities.
Families may choose to pay a $200 fee if opting out of volunteering. If a family chooses not to volunteer, they will be charged the $200 opt out fee at the end of the year.
